"If you do one thing in this lifetime, book this
band" - If you do one thing in this lifetime,
book this band, if you have no money, take to violent
crime, because if you want to have a party then you can
A) put a DJ on and finger dance or B ) book this band
and have an amazing time and get everyone dancing.
Junction 2 played at my wedding this year and made the
night, well actually my wife did later on but up until
that point they were No1 in my book. Book them book them
book them.
"Every single
person was up and dancing, even parents and
grandparents, which you never normally see" - My
husband and I were thrilled with your performance at our
wedding at Westmead Hotel on 7th August. We really
thought that it made the night and capped everything off
with a bang. All our friends and family thought you were
fantastic too. I remember looking around me and every
single person was up and dancing, even parents and
grandparents, which you never normally see. Normally
most people are sitting down or standing at the bar with
just a few girls dancing but that definitely was not the
case. We thought that you really created the perfect
party atmosphere that everyone could enjoy. Thank you
very much once again - Billy & Janice
"Everyone had a lot of fun, and the band were a huge
success."
-
Just wanted to say a big thank you for helping to make
our bash. Everyone had a lot of fun, and the band were a
huge success. The variety of music you guys played
suited the differing age ranges and tastes among us, and
everyone thoroughly enjoyed the entertainment. Thanks
again, we wish you success in the future, and would love
to hear you play at any other events we organize, Best
wishes. James & Terry.
"We will not
hesitate to recommend you!" - Thank you all for
a fantastic night! We will not hesitate to recommend
you! Thanks again! love Sarah & Andy xxx
"They were
perfect for our special occasion" - This great
band played at our wedding recently and we cannot praise
them enough. They played two great sets which got
everyone, particularly me the groom, up dancing and
singing along to some great tunes. They were perfect for
our special occasion and we hope to go to one of their
own gigs in the very near future. Book them for your own
celebration and I guarantee you will not be
disappointed. Thanks Jon and fellow band members for
making our special day that extra bit special.

"They
definitely stand out amongst other soul bands we have
seen!" - Fab band, great gig on new year's eve -
they definitely stand out amongst other soul bands we
have seen! brilliant! Danced all night!! Hope to see you
again. The Foxes (Nick, Steve and Teri Fox) at Wroxall
Abbey Estate - New Year's Eve 2008.
"Brilliant!
... The mix of music was spot on" - Brilliant!
The band played at our wedding reception on August 2nd
and they were amazing, I lost count of how many people
said how good they were. The mix of music was spot
on - it must have been because the dance floor was full
for the entire set! Thanks again, guys. Love Sarah
and Edd xx
"I seriously cannot recommend these guys enough. They
will make your
night fantastic!" -
They are approachable, polite, accommodating with our requests
prior to the wedding, even singing our rewritten version
of our first dance. All of our guests commented on what
a great set they played and there wasn’t anyone that
resisted the temptation to hit the dance floor. A
massive thank you to each band member. I seriously
cannot recommend these guys enough. They will make your
night fantastic!
"They were polite & friendly, extremely professional" -
Junction 2 arrived early and were very well organized.
They were polite & friendly, extremely professional.
Regarding their performance, they exceeded our
expectations!
"The dance floor was packed all evening and everyone was
dancing from the first song" -
The band were absolutely great, we were so, so pleased
- beyond our expectations and everyone there of all ages
has commented how entertaining and fun the music and
performance was. The song choice was a great mix with
some current and some older stuff. The band helped with
providing a great atmosphere and did exactly as they
were asked with a really great attitude. Know a couple
of guests have already recommended you to other people
so that is enough evidence for me! The dance floor was
packed all evening and everyone was dancing from the
first song. Beyond that all our dealings with you were
really helpful, professional and you took the stress out
of wedding planning. Would not hesitate to book you
again and would love you to be at every wedding we go
to.
"I've spent
the last two days apologizing to a lot of my guests,
cause once the band came on, I never left the dance
floor." - Booked the band for a joint 50/18th
birthday party & all my daughters friends have not
stopped talking about what a great night they all had.
The band did a couple of sets and once the first note
was played the dance floor just filled up. I've spent
the last two days apologizing to a lot of my guests,
cause once the band came on, I never left the dance
floor. If your in to live soul music and I mean
LIVE !!!!! this is the band for you. The whole band just
love to entertain and made all our guests feel very
special. Book them now before everybody else finds out
about them, I guarantee you won't be disappointed.
Thanks again for making our birthday party so special.

Muddy Waters, described as "the guiding light of the
modern blues school"After World War II and in the 1950s,
new styles of electric blues music became popular in
cities such as Chicago,Memphis Detroitand St. Louis.
Electric blues used electric guitars, double bass
(slowly replaced by bass guitar), drums, and harmonica
played through a microphone and a PA system or a guitar
amplifier. Chicago became a center for electric blues
from 1948 on, when Muddy Waters recorded his first
success: "I Can't Be Satisfied". Chicago blues is
influenced to a large extent by the Mississippi blues
style, because many performers had migrated from the
Mississippi region. Howlin' Wolf, Muddy Waters, Willie
Dixon, and Jimmy Reed were all born in Mississippi and
moved to Chicago during the Great Migration. Their style
is characterized by the use of electric guitar,
sometimes slide guitar, harmonica, and a rhythm section
of bass and drums. J. T. Brown who played in Elmore
James's bands, or J. B. Lenoir's also used saxophones,
but these were used more as "backing" or rhythmic
support than as solo instruments. |
