We had such a good night and every time I speak to anyone they all ask where I found you! My daughter Sophie was so impressed with you all that she is now busy trying to convince her music friends to form a band just like you! So now you have two more groupies....a 40 year old and a 10 year old! As you probably guessed on the night, my whole family love music (and dancing!) so it was really important to me to have the right band to make it a special occasion and you did just that. In the 1950s, blues had a huge influence on mainstream American popular music. While popular musicians like Bo Diddleyand Chuck Berry,both recording for Chess, were influenced by the Chicago blues, their enthusiastic playing styles departed from the melancholy aspects of blues. Chicago blues also influenced Louisiana's zydeco music, with Clifton Chenier using blues accents. Zydeco musicians used electric solo guitar and cajun arrangements of blues standards.
