"You accommodated our schedule, it took a weight of our minds" - Thanks to the band for making our reception so special. The music was fantastic! We also really appreciated how you accommodated our schedule, it took a weight of our minds in the run up to the big day! Best wishes, Michael & Helen.

"You really made our wedding day" - Just a small email to say an absolutely massive thank you for playing such wonderful sets at our wedding yesterday. We thought you were amazing - and so many of our guests have commented about how great they thought you were too. I think the crowded dance floor and wolf whistles throughout said it all! You really made our wedding day. Many thanks again, and best of best wishes. Liz and Paul (Mr and Mrs Taylor!) xx

"You're one of the coolest live bands we've seen in a long while." - Saw you guys at Mallory Court for my friends wedding last weekend, you guys were incredible! Me and my partner just love soul and it was a lovely treat to discover you guys were performing, you're one of the coolest live bands we've seen in a long while. Georgina xx

"We will not hesitate to recommend you!" - Thank you all for a fantastic night! We will not hesitate to recommend you! Thanks again! love Sarah & Andy xxx

"They definitely stand out amongst other soul bands we have seen!" - Fab band, great gig on new year's eve - they definitely stand out amongst other soul bands we have seen! brilliant! Danced all night!! Hope to see you again. The Foxes (Nick, Steve and Teri Fox) at Wroxall Abbey Estate - New Year's Eve 2008.

"I was very proud to have you play at my party" - The only feedback I have for you guys is 'Brilliant !!' Everybody loved you, so I was very proud to have you play at my party. We had such a good night and every time I speak to anyone they all ask where I found you! My daughter Sophie was so impressed with you all that she is now busy trying to convince her music friends to form a band just like you! So now you have two more groupies....a 40 year old and a 10 year old! As you probably guessed on the night, my whole family love music (and dancing!) so it was really important to me to have the right band to make it a special occasion and you did just that. All my friends came expecting a great music night and you certainly delivered! They all thought you were fantastic so please pass on a very big thank you to everyone for me. Rachel Wilson.

"They were polite & friendly, extremely professional" - Junction 2 arrived early and were very well organized. They were polite & friendly, extremely professional. Regarding their performance, they exceeded our expectations!

By the beginning of the 1960s, genres influenced by African American music such as rock and roll and soul were part of mainstream popular music. White performers had brought African-American music to new audiences, both within the US and abroad. However, the blues wave that brought artists such as Muddy Waters to the foreground had stopped. Bluesmen such as Big Bill Broonzy and Willie Dixon started looking for new markets in Europe. Dick Waterman and the blues festivals he organized in Europe played a major role in propagating blues music abroad. In the UK, bands emulated US blues legends, and UK blues-rock-based bands had an influential role throughout the 1960s.
