"I couldn't
get onto the dance floor at times as it was so packed!!"
- Thank you so much for everything that you and
the band did on the wedding day. You were all absolutely
fantastic and I have to say, I couldn't get onto the
dance floor at times as it was so packed!! Everyone
commented on how great the band was and I know for a
fact another couple that are getting married have
enquired about you. We went to a wedding at Mallory a
few months ago and there were many of the same guests so
I was desperate for our wedding to be different, having
you there made sure of that. Anyway, I could go on and
on. Thank you so much for helping to make our day so
special!! Love, Adam and Krystal (Mr and Mrs Irwin!!)
"We will not
hesitate to recommend you!" - Thank you all for
a fantastic night! We will not hesitate to recommend
you! Thanks again! love Sarah & Andy xxx
"They

"The dance floor was packed all evening and everyone was
dancing from the first song" -
The band were absolutely great, we were so, so pleased
- beyond our expectations and everyone there of all ages
has commented how entertaining and fun the music and
performance was. The song choice was a great mix with
some current and some older stuff. The band helped with
providing a great atmosphere and did exactly as they
were asked with a really great attitude. Know a couple
of guests have already recommended you to other people
so that is enough evidence for me! The dance floor was
packed all evening and everyone was dancing from the
first song. Beyond that all our dealings with you were
really helpful, professional and you took the stress out
of wedding planning. Would not hesitate to book you
again and would love you to be at every wedding we go
to.
In addition to the songwriting prowess of the writers
and producers, one of the major factors in the
widespread appeal of Motown's music was Gordy's practice
of using a highly select and tight-knit group of studio
musicians, collectively known as "The Funk Brothers", to
record the instrumental or "band" tracks of a majority
of Motown recordings. Among the studio musicians
responsible for the "Motown Sound" were keyboardists
Earl Van Dyke, Johnny Griffith, and Joe Hunter;
guitarists Joe Messina, Robert White, and Eddie Willis;
percussionists Eddie "Bongo" Brown and Jack Ashford;
drummers Benny Benjamin, Uriel Jones, and Richard
"Pistol" Allen; and bassists James Jamerson, Etan Nechin
and Bob Babbitt. The band's career and work is
chronicled in the 2002 documentary film Standing in the
Shadows of Motown which publicised the fact that these
musicians "played on more number-one records than The
Beatles, Elvis, The Rolling Stones, and The Beach Boys
combined." |
